Part III: The Most Important Article You Will Read All Year, The Investment Opportunity
The investment opportunity, with a very important introduction
In Part III of this series, I am going to discuss my top picks for publicly traded global companies that offer services that protect against the types of events that I strongly believe are inevitable in the imminent future that I spoke of in Parts I and II.
However, before I get started, I wanted to provide a warning regarding a completely unrelated topic to this 3-part article, because having lived in SE Asia for more than a decade, I have many lifelong friends still in this part of the world and it will always be a part of the world for which I retain strong fondness despite the absolute draconian and misanthropic way in which most governments in that region handled a relatively mild Covid virus that was never a great threat to anyone in relatively decent health under the age of 60 that had a strong gut biome and immune system. In fact, eating for nutrition instead of pleasure and having a daily workout routine was always a better solution to fighting Covid than accepting an injection of experimental anti-Covid drugs that were cash cows for big Pharma that could care less about any debilitating side effects that later manifested from these injections since no proper safety trials were ever conducted before mass administration to the people.
I was living in Thailand during the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami that killed nearly a quarter of a million people in 14 nations, and though I was supposed to holiday in the beautiful Phi Phi Islands, where an estimated 4,000 people died, I fortunately cancelled my plans so I was stationed in the safety of the mainland, away from dangerous coastal areas and absolutely gorgeous islands when the tsunami struck. I was also lucky enough not to have any friends perish in the tsunami though a good friend of mine had to climb a tree in the Krabi resort peninsula bombarded by tsunami waves in order to survive.
In any event, the seismologist and earthquake expert that predicted this tsunami before it happened has now predicted a 100% probability that an even greater, more destructive tsunami will 100% hit this region once again at some point between now and the next two decades. And if you look at the map below, he has predicted that Padang, Indonesia, a city in which a million people reside, will bear the worst of the next Asian tsunami that occurs, a prediction that will translate into hundreds of thousands of deaths in this one city alone unless it is completely abandoned, which it won’t be, along with thousands of additional deaths in surrounding areas.
As the basis of this 3-part article is that we all can prevent a massive coming inevitable disaster with just a little bit of proactive preventive action, I would greatly appreciate if everyone reading this intro would pass on these warnings to everyone they know that lives in the at-risk region of this next tsunami warning, which I provide below. As everyone that lived through that horror back then knows, if you witness a strange phenomenon in which water recedes quickly out to sea during a time that is not when low tide normally occurs, you have about 15 to 20 minutes to make it to higher ground to avoid a life-threatening incoming tsunami.
In this case, even though Dr. Kerry Sieh, a California Institute of Technology geologist has marked Padang, Indonesia on the island of Sumatra as the city that will bear the worst consequences of the next massive tsunami, when this next tsunami happens, from its geographical location, it will likely bring tragedy to the west coast of Australia, the Thai islands in the Andaman Sea in the West coast of Thailand including Phuket, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, Koh Chang, Koh Similan, the Maldives, and the coastal areas of Burma, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India and Malaysia that border the Andaman Sea as well.
If you know anyone that lives in any of these regions, as they very well may not have heard of this prediction, please inform them that the geologist that predicted the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami in this region that killed an estimated 230,000 people has predicted an even greater tsunami to hit this same region again. As most of my friends that live in this region thought of the 2004 tsunami as a once-in-a-lifetime event that will never happen again, I believe most are unaware of this lurking serious danger.
Besides relocating to another part of the world outside of this danger zone, forehand knowledge that another massive tsunami is coming and what to do when warning signs appear is the best way to survive the next one when it happens. And Dr. Sieh’s warning is not fear mongering as many of these types of catastrophic predictions tend to be. Dr. Sieh’s warnings are based on already observed activity along the coral reefs that lie on top of the biggest fault lines in this area. And being in a heighted state of alertness is one of the best ways to survive the next tsunami versus a much lesser chance of survival that will be a consequence of improper responses to warning signs due to ignorance of the high likelihood of a repeated occurrence of another devastating tsunami. I would appreciate you sharing the intro to this article with others. Your actions may just end up saving a life.
Now, without further ado, the conclusion to this 3-part series, “The Most Important Article You Will Read All Year.”
